The Elementary Honors Choir performed as a featured choir a the 2007 Texas Music Educators' Association annual convention. It is a real feather in the cap of our choir.
Performance Groups
- 5th Grade Honors Choir is a group of 77 auditioned singers who demonstrate musical ability and leadership skills. The Honors Choir has represented The Rice School/La Escuela Rice at various venues; from on-campus concerts, to community concerts, to regional choir festivals. In addition, the Choir has been invited to sing at district functions, such as Vuela con Libros , and community events, such as the 10 th anniversary celebration for the Center for the Healing of Racism.
- 4th Grade Choir is a training choir created to prepare young students for choral singing. Our goal is to train students to read musical notation, follow a choral score, and promote and practice healthy sound production. This group also performs at community and on-campus concerts.
