Texas Awards

Children's Round Table 2X2

The 2X2 Reading List is a project of the Children’s Round Table, a unit of the Texas Library Association. Texas Library Association sponsors the 2X2 Reading List solely to encourage free voluntary reading.  The 2X2 Committee‘s charge is to produce a list of 20 recommended books for children, age two to grade two. 

Texas Bluebonnet Award

The Texas Library Association sponsors the Texas Bluebonnet Award reading list solely to encourage free voluntary reading for students in grades 3-6.

Lone Star Award

The Texas Library Association sponsors the Lone Star Award reading list solely to encourage free voluntary reading for students in grades 6-8.

National Awards

Newbery Medal Winners

The Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the American Library Association for the most distinguished American children's book published the previous year.

Caldecott Medal Winners

The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. Coretta Scott King Book Awards
